Long Time, No Talk

Hello Friends!
Let me start off by saying Happy 2012! AHH!!
There are PLENTY of things I would really like to get posted on here.

*Zander is 4 months old! OH MY GOODNESS!
*I start school this month
*Zander's first trip to the zoo :)
and plenty more that I cant think of right now.

There are many things that I want to do in the coming year.

I want to grow in Christ.
I want to eat a little bit healthier.
I want to raise my little man the best that i can. No matter what.
I want to throw an amazing 1st bash for him too :)
I want to see my grades in school get better.
I want to get to know more women at my church.
I want to be able to get more involved at church.
I want to be able to work out more.
I want to have time to read the bible more.
I want to see my relationship grow.
I want to be strong enough to be able to do what I need to do to be able to support my son.
I want to be able to give more to others.
I want to be able to serve God like I have never served him before.
I want to know that I have saved someone's life by bringing them to church.

There are plenty more, but I also want to say that I was wonderfully blessed in 2011 but I am not sad to see it leave.
I want to make 2012 one of the best years of my life. Cliche I know :)

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.
Stay tuned for more updates :)

Wow

Yet again. I suck at blogging :)

Little Zander is 3 months old already!? Where does time go?
He is healthy after our bout with thrush and eye infections. All in all he is a WONDERFUL baby and I could ask for a sweeter little boy :) He is my whole world! (can we say cliche?)

I need to update with pictures from just being around the house and our family outings/holidays because hes changed so much since birth, but that will have to wait for another day because I have Korbin to keep occupied as well :) We are having a free day today since he goes back to his mom tomorrow. We are going to take a nap then bake! WOO! and we get to watch The Santa Clause. Cant wait!

I love Christmas :)

God bless :)

HE'S FINALLY HERE!!

Hello Once Again!

It has been a while since I've been on here and I've decided that I SUCK at blogging :)
Life just seems to keep getting the better of me when I try to get on my computer.

Well.. Mr. Zander was born almost 5 weeks ago! The story is not very exciting or anything like that.. But you know what.. That is COMPLETELY okay with me!

The only thing that sucked was not being able to eat or drink anything the day of my surgery after 8:00 am and I wasnt scheduled for surgery until 4:30 pm. UGH! So since I couldnt have anything after 8, Eric and I woke up early so we could go out and have breakfast at Jimmy's Egg. After that we had some errands to run and Eric had some repairs to do at his parents house before we left to go to the hospital. We didnt have to be there until 2:30 pm so I had THE LONGEST day ever..
When we got to the birthing center at the hospital I filled out the piles of paperwork and then they got me all hooked up to the IV and everything like that. and of course my Dr had decided to go on vacation but thankfully he was still in town and he got made it to the hospital later that what he had told me my surgery time was and little Mr. Zander was born at 5:12 pm on September 7.
I had a scheduled c-section because they thought he was going to be around 9.5 lbs and it would be dangerous to me to try and deliver but when he was born he was 8 lbs 10 oz, 20.5 in long.

All I truly remember about that day was before and while I was in the operating room. I was so drugged up that I dont remember a whole lot after we were wheeled back to the room from the operating room. I remember not wanting to hold Zander because I was so shaky from the medicine. Good thing the bed has railing :)

The hospital stay was very uneventful besides the first night I was so pumped up on adrenaline that I didn't want to nor could I sleep for long periods of time..

Heres my list that I need to catch up on :(
Everything Zander
My 21st bday

Be blessed!

Tomorrow!

Hello All!

Welp. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! My precious baby boy will be making his way into the world via c-section. I can not tell you how long I have been waiting for this day. Actually its only been about 3 weeks or so but this past month has been THE HARDEST! I've had a number of sympotms that should go away soon and let me tell you, I CANT WAIT FOR THEM TO GO AWAY!!
(Just to remind myself for when I look back at this :) Ive had
Restless Leg, nausea, horrible joint pain (of course), lost tons of sleep, up every hour to go pee..
Am i missing anything else?
OH YEA! Carrying around an extra 60 pounds, including this HUGE baby they are thinking will weigh around 10 pounds!!

Other than that I have just been staying at home. I really dont like trying to walk around or get out of the house much by myself. The only thing I have done lately by myself is go to the mall to get a pedicure before I go into the hospital. I have been going to the same lady for years and I walked in a few days ago to get pampered and massaged and she took a look at my legs and goes WOAH! Your legs are big! Haha. I thought it was kind of funny.

So my c-section is tomorrow at 4:30 pm and I got all worried because the nurse told me that I couldnt eat OR drink after midnight tonight and then wait until dinner tomorrow to eat or drink again but its all good. I got a call from the people at mercy and she said that I could eat or drink up until 8 in the morning. I was VERY relieved because if I dont eat I get very irritable and sick and its NOT pretty :(  God is good!
I know its something STUPID to worry about but I was really worried and pretty upset about it.

But now I am off to finish packing my bag and getting everything situated to come back home with my little Zander! EEKK!

Have a wonderful week/weekend and God bless!

Count down!!

Hello All!

Welp. The final days are here! FINALLY! :)
Ive been seeing my doctor every week (of course) even though I think that these appointments are kinda retarded because I drive 10 minutes to see my doctor for about 5 to 10 min then another 10 minute drive home.
This is most of the conversation..
Doc: Hi. How are you doing?
Me: Good.
Doc: Any abnormal swelling?
Me: No
Doc: Baby moving around okay?
Me: Yep.
Doc: Alright. Medically everything looks perfect and just look out for labor and call me if you need anything. Have a good day.
Me: Thanks Doc.

On the 25th I had an ultrasound to get an estimation on how big Mr. Zander is and... Drumroll....

He is a whopping 8.10 at 37 weeks!!

So this past Tuesday on the 30th I went back in to see the doctor because I didnt get to see him that day.
He basically told me that he wanted to do a c-section because he was worried about the baby being too big to come out and hurting his collarbone.
Granted I was already scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks, which is in a week! I am hoping I will go into labor on my own. Its kind of disappointing to not be able to have the experience that I want because Zander is measuring big, but then again I want what will be best for myself and my baby. I guess I just have a lot of praying to do and maybe this will turn out to be the experience I have always wanted.

Other than that everything has been going wonderfully! Korbin is doing very well with his writing and doing our school activities. We have been recognizing our numbers and letters, counting, learning about Jesus, and learning to write!

Please pray that God shows me the right path to take to make everything safe!
Have a wonderful day and God Bless!!

First Day of School!

Hello There!

Today was Korbin and Mackenzie's first day of school. Korbin started PreK and Mack started middle school. EEK!! When I met her she was in 4th grade. Since Korbin is only doing half day PreK, Eric and I have decided to do some semi home schooling in the afternoons so by the time he goes to Kindergarten in a year he will know how to write his letters and recognize his numbers and letters. I'm actually pretty excited.

We also have a set induction date for Zander in case he doesn't want to come on his own. It is set for September 7th! Which I am happy about for 2 reasons: a)I will only be 39 weeks [Zander is measuring big] b) It's not too close to Korbin's birthday!

I went in for my 35 week checkup and everything looked fine so I scheduled an induction date for after my due date just in case Zander decided he didn't want to come into the world on his own. My due date is September 14 so I set the date for September 19th which is the following Monday. I went home thinking,"Oh my goodness I have to wait FOREVER!"
Fortunately the nurse called back and said I think we have a mix up on your induction date.. Since your measuring big do you want to come in to be induced at 39 weeks?
Of course I said HECK YEA! This boy feels big and my body HATES me right about now..

We also have FINALLY gotten the nursery somewhat put together. There is no exact theme (though I have picked out the Lion King bedding) It is kind of a mix of everything that we have:) And you know what, it is completely okay, Im not that devastated at all.

I also had my baby shower on the 14th at my brother and S-I-L's house. It was super cute and I got most everything I needed, which was AWESOME because I literally had nothing :)

Now I am off to a play date with my family so Korbin can go play with some kiddos his age :)

Have a blessed day!

Maternity Pics :)

Hello All!!

There hasn't been a whole lot going on around these parts, besides MASSIVE summer thunderstorms and power going out at the house :( It got stuffy and hot REAL quick.. So i went to stay the night with my brother and SIL. Lets just say I still got no sleep and took a nap when i got home :) But it was worth it, I got some bonding time with my neices and nephews.

I am 35 weeks and have about a month left to go :) EEEKK!! Zander has been moving around TONS, likes to stick his feet under my ribs (which is NO FUN), and has the hiccups ALL the time, but he is head down and now it's just a waiting game.. We have an eviction date set but that will be revealed at a later date :)

My doctor has me seeing him every week now but I don't see why.. I know it might just be me but this pregnancy has been relatively easy so when I go in for an appointment they check the heart beat and measure my belly and ask if I have any questions, (I usually don't because nothing weird has happened and there are things that can wait until I get closer to my due date to schedule and ask about) and then its alright, see you in a week. REALLY? I have to drive 20 minutes to see you for 5?! Ugh. Gas is way too expensive for that..

In the mean time I have some cleaning and rearranging to do but it takes so much dang energy to do the stuff that needs to be done to get ready :(

In the later part of July we had the maternity pictures taken by Sarah Billheimer. She is a wonderful lady and her pictures are truly amazing and I cant wait to see the rest of them! But here is a sneak peak :)

I will upload my favorites when I get the rest of them in

Have a wonderful wednesday and God bless :)
